A. O. Garoi writes and lives around the world. She is the author of the Hofinda Series, and the book OAK, Extended Halloween Days.
In addition to writing, she works as an art director, overseeing the visual concepts of her works, including the creation of her logo, the Simultaneous Feathers. She holds degrees in law, graphic design, and audiovisual production focused on 3D animation. She is also a travel enthusiast and currently a programmer.
Garoi's visual artistic talent allowed her to create the Simultaneous Feathers, a symbol to help readers identify which genre prevails in each of her writings. The name Garoi means "wind that welcomes," and her works are imbued with this welcoming nature that also calls for dynamism and flexibility.
Garoi also works as an art director and multimedia designer under the name Ariane Garoi. These principles of simultaneity, movement, and welcoming are present in both her visual and written stories, through daring narratives and unusual characters.

They are called the Simultaneous Feathers because we can equally say they are disintegrating or forming because of their appearance. This simultaneity is purposeful because it’s related to what happens when reading stories: some of them help us dismantle fixed ideas while also allowing us to form new perspectives of life and worlds.
